SRINAGAR, Aug 29: Police today said it have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered huge quantity of Bhukki from their possession in Qazigund area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir.
A police spokesman said acting on a specific information, police intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02T-0915 near Golab Bagh in Qazigund. “On its checking police recovered 41 kilograms of Bhukki. Two people who were travelling in the vehicle have been taken into custody,” he added.
The accused were identified as Altaf Ahmad Ganie and Bashir Ahmad Dar, said the spokesman, adding that police have registered a case FIR number 230/216 under section 8/15 NDPS Act and further investigation has been taken up.
