Two drug peddlers arrested, 15 kgs of Ganja seized

KATHUA, Sep 24 : In its decisive action against drug menace within the district, Kathua Police under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua, R C Kotwal- today nabbed two drug peddlers with 15 Kilograms of Ganja like contraband.
Police said today a team led by Inspector, Sumeet Sharma, SHO Police Station (PS) Lakhanpur under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua, Sukhdev Singh during naka and checking duty noticed two suspects who were directed to stop for checking. On thorough checking approximately 15 kilo grams of Ganja like contraband was recovered from the possession of two persons namely Ravi, son of Suresh of Narwal Bye Pass, Qasim Nagar Jammu, Rakhi wife of Surinder of Bari Shani Rajasthan at present Sector 56 Chandigarh.
Meanwhile, all the recovered material seized and both the persons involved were arrested. A case vide FIR No. 100/2021 under Section 8/20/ NDPS Act has been registered at PS Lakhanpur and further investigation into the case has been started.
