83 new cases in Kashmir, 2 in Ladakh

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Sept 5: One hundred and ten persons today tested positive for COVID-19 in Jammu and Kashmir while two fresh cases were reported in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
A doctor posted in the Government Medical College (GMC), four soldiers and a minor today tested positive for the virus in Rajouri district.
A female doctor reported positive for pathogen in Kishtwar.
A total of 27 COVID positive cases were reported in the Jammu region including seven in Reasi, six in Doda and five in Jammu district.
Ramban and Kathua districts didn’t report any new cases.
As against 27 cases, 31 persons recovered from the virus in Jammu region.
The region now has 1,23,139 Corona cases. However, among them, only 267 are active positives while 1,20,706 have recovered from the virus and there have been 2166 casualties.
The Union Territory of Ladakh today reported two fresh Corona positive cases, both in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 59 active positive cases including 47 in Leh district and 12 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 83 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Srinagar reported 57 cases, Baramulla 4, Budgam 13, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 3, Ganderbal 2 and Kulgam 3.
Srinagar has 72676 positive cases with 555 active, 71285 recovered and 836 deaths; Baramulla has 23961 positive cases with 147 active, 23532 recovered, 282 deaths; Budgam reported 23265 positive cases with 160 active cases, 22898 recovered, 207 deaths; Pulwama has 15357 positive cases with 46 active, 15117 recovered and 194 deaths; Kupwara has 14257 positive cases, 28 active, 14063 recoveries and 166 deaths; Anantnag district has 16459 positive cases with 26 active, 16228 recoveries and 205 deaths; Bandipora has 9650 positive cases with 30 active, 9519 recoveries and 101 deaths; Ganderbal has 10149 positive cases with 44 active, 10027 recoveries and 78 deaths; Kulgam has 11427 positive cases with 13 active, 11297 recoveries and 117 deaths while as Shopian has 5600 positive cases with 6 active positive cases, 5536 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Moreover, they said, 168 more COVID-19 patients have recovered including 142 from the Valley. So far, 325940 people have recovered, leaving active cases at 1322 including 1055 in Kashmir.
