Two die, 143 test +ve in Kashmir

JAMMU/SRINAGAR/ LEH, Dec 5: Two persons died of COVID-19 and 143 tested positive in Kashmir division today while 18 fresh cases were recorded in Jammu region and 14 in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Meanwhile, two persons succumbed to the viral infection in Kashmir taking the death toll in J&K to 4481 persons including 2296 in Kashmir.
Srinagar reported 62 cases, Baramulla 21, Budgam 19, Pulwama 6, Kupwara 13, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 11, Ganderbal 8 and Kulgam 2.
Moreover, 184 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time including 150 from Kashmir.
So far 331620 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1706 including 1267 in Kashmir.
Among 18 cases in Jammu region, seven were registered in Jammu, six in Doda, two in Poonch and one each in Reasi, Kathua and Rajouri districts. Rest of the districts didn’t report any new cases.
Thirty four persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases in Jammu region to 439.
All 14 fresh cases in Ladakh were reported in Leh district.
Ladakh’s active positive cases have reached 298 including 277 in Leh and 21 in Kargil district.
