Two days conference on save reservations concludes

JAMMU, Feb 18: On the second and last day of the two days conference on save reservations organized by All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations, J&K Unit the core cadre of the confederation across the country participated today.
The members stressed on introspection and making strategies for mobilizing the resources to maximum limit to involve almost every member of SC/ST/OBC categories to sustain the cause that the confederation has been espousing for the constitutional rights provided to them.
The conference was presided over by the national chairman of the confederation Dr. Udit Raj.
Today wide ranging issues for the national and State level were discussed.
Dr. Udit Raj, while addressing the participants, stressed on involvement of entrepreneurs, social media, students and cadre mobilization as the basic strategies to achieve the goals set up to strengthen the organization and realization of the demands discussed during the conference yesterday.
Dr. Indira Athawale, National general secretary of the organisation, said that women participation is a must as it is they who form around half of the total population of the nation.
R K. Kalsotra State president of the confederation in his address asked the people belonging to depressed sections, particularly the youth and the students to be united and struggle for their share in Government as well as in private sector.
He said big business houses are controlled by upper classes who are hesitant to employ even the most intelligent candidates from down-trodden communities and demanded reservation in private sector.
Others who spoke include R.S. Maurya, Mehar Singh Bhaurania, K. Maheshwar Raj , Rohit Kumar, Hemendra Jailiya, E. Satyanarayana, Subodh Kumar, Zahida Chowdhary, Romesh Sarmal and Rohit Verma.
