JAMMU, Feb 21: Two day skill based training on “Digital Marketing and Video Editing via mobile phone” began today at Government College of Education, Jammu.
The training program was a joint venture of the NSS unit of the College, ICT Department and IQAC in collaboration with Ministry of Education, Govt of India in a blended mode. The program was organized under the patronage of Prof Aekta Gupta, Principal of the College.
Samarth Sharma and Ajay Tanwar, consultants of MGNCRE were the resource persons on the occasion. The aim of the training program was to make students aware about the importance of digital marketing and to provide in-depth knowledge of tools and techniques required for video editing to students.
In the inaugural address, Principal of the college stressed that such programs boost the morale of the students and to choose digital market also as their career. She also put emphasis on the skill enhancement among the students to make them employable in near future.
NSS PO Dr Shubhra Jamwal said that the workshop was organized to let students overcome their physiological limitations and provide them hands on session to improve their skills on digital marketing and mobiles. The two key speakers of the event dwelt on registration and networking, overview of digital marketing awareness, job market trends, demands and projections 2023. They emphasized that jobs in digital marketing were some of the fastest growing across any sector, according to Linked In, which shows a 52% rise in demand for such roles.
Dr Shubhra Jamwal, Dr Deep K Bangotra and Prof Shalini Rana coordinated the event while as Prof Anju Bala, Prof Satish Sharma, Prof Neeraj, Prof Seema and Prof Shapia were present on the occasion.
