RAJOURI, Aug 27: A two-day national conference on the topic ‘Emerging Trends in Electronics and Communication’ organized by Department of Electronics and Communication, School of Engineering and Technology (SoET), BGSB University concluded here today.
The event was organized under the guidance and leadership of Vice-Chancellor (VC) Professor Javed Mussarat. About 60 participants had registered for the conference and more than 40 presentations were made beside the number of expert talks on the latest trends in Electronics and Communication, its prospects and challenges. The conference was sponsored by JKPDC, J&K Bank and HAMS Live.
During the conference, eminent scholars stressed upon the need of innovations in the field of electronics and communications for the betterment of human society at large. The conference concluded with the valedictory function in which Prof Mohammed Asghar, Dean SoET, presented the welcome address.
Minister for Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Information and Public Affairs, Zulfkar Ali Choudhary was the chief guest of the event. In his address, the Minister reiterated the commitment of the State Government in providing full support for the growth and development of the University. He also highlighted the vision of late Mufti Mohammed Sayed for developing BGSBU as a centre of excellence in entire South Asia.
VC Javed Mussarat in his address assured the Minister that the University will become the epitome of educational excellence and will reach next level of academics and research in near future.
The event ended with distribution of certificates to various participants by the Minister, VC and Dean of SoET. The best paper award of the conference was presented to Malik Yunis.
