Srinagar: Two police men and equal number of militants were killed in South Kashmir district of Pulwama this afternoon.
Two police men were killed in a militant attack on the house of a youth National Conference (NC) leader, Yawar Masoodi , at Khrew in South Kashmir district of Pulwama this afternoon when an election meeting was going on inside his house.
Militants opened fire on police guards at the house of Yawar, the NC leader, killing two of them. They also snatched a pistol and rifle from the two dead police men. However, police and army chased them and both of the militants were killed in a nearby village in agriculture fields.
