SRINAGAR, Sept 7: Two Railway policemen were injured when militants hurled a grenade at them in Awantipora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district this evening.
Selection grade constable Mukhtar Ahmad (belt no. 398) and Rouf Ahmad (belt no. 394) received splinter injuries when militants hurled a grenade on them at Railway track near Malangpora area of Awantipora around 4:15 pm today.
Both the injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospital where their condition is said to be stable.
Army and Special Operations Group (SOG) of police reached the spot and launched search operation to nab the attackers.
