JAMMU, Oct 16: Two persons allegedly committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance at their respective residences.
As per reports, Chaman Lal, son of Sai Dass of Khour camp, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. Family members shifted him to nearby hospital, where doctors, declared him as brought dead.
The body was handed over to legal heirs after autopsy, while, police has registered a case and investigation started.
Meanwhile, Ashok Kumar, son of Om Parkash of Rajouri, made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his home, yesterday.
Noticing him unconscious, family members shifted him to Rajouri hospital, from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). At GMC hospital, he failed to respond to the treatment and died today.
The body was handed over to legal heirs after completion of legal formalities, while, a case has been registered to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme step.
In another incident, 30-year-old woman made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at village Barmeen.
As per reports, 30-year-old woman Sushma Devi, wife of Kuldeep Singh of village Barmeen, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at her residence.
Noticing her unconscious, family members shifted her to district hospital, where she was undergoing treatment, when last reports came in.
The reasons behind such extreme step could not be ascertained, while, a case has been registered and investigation started.
