JAMMU, Aug 23: Two people including a 25-year-old girl allegedly committed suicide by hanging self at their respective rented residences in city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, a 45-year old woman identified as Tsering Dolma wife of Ragzin Wongial, a resident of Leh, was this morning found hanging at her rented residence in Nanak Nagar area falling under the jurisdiction of police station, Gandhi Nagar, by the family members.
On getting information, a police party from police station Gandhi Nagar reached the spot and shifted the dead body to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
A young girl identified as Sheefali Sharma (25) daughter of Ashok Kumar, a resident of Jhajjar Kotli, was also found hanging at her rented accommodation in Prem Nagar falling under the jurisdiction of police post Sarwal. The family members informed the police who reached the spot and shifted the dead body to GMCH, where postmortem of the body will be conducted tomorrow.
In both cases, the concerned police have registered cases under 174 CrPC while further investigations are on.
