SRINAGAR, Mar 16: Police today suspended its four men after two accused burglars fled from their custody from a Police Station in Srinagar last night.
A police spokesman said that last night two accused persons – Mohammad Ramzan Sheikh son of Jamal resident of Khudwani, Kulgam and Tariq Ahmad Mathanji resident of Pamposh Colony, Srinagar – involved in burglary cases (FIR No’s 70/2014 and 09/2015 under Section 457,380 RPC) fled from the custody of Police Station Mehraj Gunj.
The police spokesman said that four officials of Police Station M R Gunj including MHC and Sentry were suspension for their gross negligence and carelessness.
Police have registered a case (FIR No. 24/2015 under Section 224 RPC) to investigate the matter. Police have launched a massive hunt to nab the duo.
