JAMMU, Oct 10: Two persons have been booked for obstructing the police officials from performing their duties.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged with Police Station Bus Stand stating that Traffic Police team headed by DTI Sarbjeet Singh and assisted by Head Constable Rajinder Kumar, SgCt Basant Singh Saini and SgCt Ramesh Kumar received a signal from Traffic Control Room that a Government employee has lost his bag containing important documents in a mini bus and accordingly the team started checking the mini-buses.
In the process, two persons Gursimran Singh and his associate claiming to be a video journalist with Universal News Time Line reached the spot near KC Morh and started creating scenes and also abused the traffic cops performing their duty. They also tried to snatch the challan books and also tried to assault the cops, which also brought bad name to the journalist community working for the welfare of the people, the complaint reads.
Acting over the compliant, a case under FIR Number 90/17 under Sections 353, 504, 506 RPC has been registered at Bus Stand Police Station and investigation started.
