Two Bihar residents arrested with Ganja

JAMMU, Sept 22: Bahu Fort Police arrested two residents of Bihar along with 4.192 kilograms of ganja.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Bahu Fort laid a naka and asked two pedestrians to stop for checking as they were moving under suspicious circumstances.
On seeing cops, the pedestrians tried to escape, but cops intercepted them after a brief chase.
During checking, police team recovered 4.192 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the pedestrians and arrested them.
The arrested persons were identified as Lukho Mandal, son of Mano Mandal and Pawan Kumar, son of Rajinder Yadav, both residents of Bihar, at present Gangyal District Jammu.
During initial questioning, the arrested persons disclosed that the consignment was supposed to be delivered among youths in Gangyal and its adjoining areas.
A case FIR Number 310/2021 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
Police team led by SHO Bahu Fort Inspector Deepak Pathania and assisted by PSI Adarsh Kant made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Bikram Kumar and SP South Deepak Digra.
