SRINAGAR, May 7: Police today said two persons attempted suicide in Kupwara and Kulgam districts of the Valley.
A police spokesman said 20 year-old youth (name withheld) resident of Awoora village of Kupwara district consumed some poisonous substance at his home. “He was shifted to District Hospital Kupwara for treatment. Police have registered a case in this regard,” he said.
The spokesman said a girl (name withheld) hailing from DH Pora in Kulgam district consumed some poisonous substance at her home. She was shifted to SMHS Hospital, Srinagar for treatment, he said, adding that a case was registered in this regard.
