Two arrested for uploading derogatory comments on social media

KISHTWAR, May 12: Police arrested two persons for uploading derogatory comments on social media against two girls including a jailed student of Jamia Milia University New Delhi.
As per reports, a man identified as Sunil Kumar Shan has uploaded some derogatory comments on social media against a jailed student of Jamia Milia University New Delhi, Safoora Zargar.
The relatives of the student lodged the complaint against Shan at Kishtwar Police Station and action on the complaint, police arrested him.
It is pertinent to mention that Safoora Zargar, a resident of Kishtwar was accused by the Delhi Police for involvement in instigating the violence in Delhi during NRC/CAA protest and was booked under stringent UAPA law.
Meanwhile, a man identified as Aamir Hussain, son of Mohammad Abass Bhat of Chirol Nagseni has been arrested for uploading derogatory remarks on social media against a local girl.
Cases under relevant sections have been registered at Kishtwar Police Station against both the arrested persons and investigation started.
