JAMMU, Apr 11: Arnia and Akhnoor Police arrested two persons for selling illicit liquor.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Arnia led by SHO Inspector Harjeet Singh apprehended a man along with 50 quarters of illicit liquor, which he was selling among the common masses to make extra gains.
The arrested person has been identified as Keemti Lal, son of Kaka Ram, a resident of Arnia, District Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 25/2021 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Arnia and investigation initiated.
Meanwhile, a team from Police Station Akhnoor led by SHO Inspector Hilal Azhar conducted raid and apprehended a man along with 17 quarters of illicit liquor.
The arrested person has been identified as Vishal Kumar, son of Pawan Kumar of Sangni, Tehsil Akhnoor, District Jammu.
The accused was selling the illicit liquor among the masses to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 100/2021 under Section 48-F Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor and investigation started.
