JAMMU, Apr 14: While their both parents are serving the people in hospitals amid Coronavirus scare, Saibaa and Saisha, twin sisters in Jammu are creating awareness about importance of social distancing and other precautions needed to be taken to prevent ourselves from this dreaded virus.
Saibaa and Saisha Gupta study in Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar in Jammu and recently appeared in 10th standard board exams. Amid lockdown due to Coronavirus spread, the twin sisters compose three songs to raise awareness among people, the latest being on health workers in which they expressed their gratitude to the doctors and health workers for their phenomenal work during this difficult time.

In the song, the two girls, whose both parents are doctors, expressed concern over the recent incidents of attacks on health workers. “Doctors and health workers are doing a great service to the nation. Putting their lives in danger, they are saving others life. It’s very appalling to see attacks taking place on health workers. Doctors are no less than God for the people right now. We must salute them for their work”, said Saibaa and Saisha while speaking to Excelsior.
Earlier, they composed two songs, one each in Hindi and English, which has now taken the internet but storm. Through these two songs, the twin sisters urged people to adhere to the lockdown norms and maintain social distancing to defeat COVID-19.
“We had made many plans for our post-exams vacations. But we had to shelve all our plans due to nation-wide lockdown due to Coronavirus spread. So, we chose to use our singing skills for a great cause,” said Saibaa and Saisha said, adding, their first song was in Hindi which they decided to write after getting inspiration from our Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
They said that people must cooperate with the Government and take all necessary precautions as suggested by the health officials to contain the spread of the virus. People must frequently wash their hands and instead of shaking hands they should say namaste, the twin sisters added.
Saibaa and Saisha asked people to not to panic, follow lockdown norms and cooperate with the authorities. “People should understand the importance of social distancing. Those venturing out of their homes for no reason are not only risking their own lives but also their families,” they added.
The twin Jammu sisters urged people to cooperate with the Government and take all necessary precautions as suggested by the health officials to prevent the spread of the virus.
