JAMMU, Jan.3: Teachers Welfare Association President, Jasmeet Singh Madaan has demanded extension in winter vacations due to extreme cold weather conditions prevailing in Jammu division.
In a press communique released today, Madaan said that winter vacations are going to be end on 4th January but still the weather conditions are not conducive for children due to extreme fog and dip in temperature as only yesterday Jammu region has experienced coldest day.
As many of our schools don’t have heating facility thus children are prone to feel the cold. Also rain has been predicted during the coming days.
Keeping in view these factual position into consideration, Teachers Welfare Association which always works for the welfare of teachers as well as students community urged Commissioner Secretary, Education, Alok Kumar and Director, School Education, Jammu, Ashok Sharma to consider their demand for extension in winter vacations.
