Tushar’s brother returning today after Dr Jitendra’s intervention

NEW DELHI, Feb 24: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS PMO, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space, Dr Jitendra Singh has thanked the Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj and all the officers in the Foreign Ministry for their prompt response in ensuring the return of USA based Nikhil Mahajan to India, who happens to be the brother of Late Captain Tushar Mahajan, who attained martyrdom in Pampore encounter and on behalf of whose family, Dr Jitendra Singh had been approached yesterday for intervention following certain visa related issues which had delayed Nikhil’s travel plans to India.
Soon after Dr Jitendra Singh was informed about the matter last evening, he immediately got in touch with the officers in the Ministry of External Affairs and also approached the Minister of External Affairs, Sushma Swaraj, who took a sympathetic view of the case and issued immediate instructions for the needful.
With all the visa related issues having been resolved, Nikhil successfully boarded the flight from Washington DC to New Delhi at about 9 AM this morning and is expected to land in New Delhi tomorrow morning, for his onward journey to Udhampur.
