WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have vowed to continue jointly fighting terrorism, according to the White House.
The White House said in a statement on Wednesday that the Indian Prime Minister had called the US President to express his condolences over the deaths of eight people in the New York City terror attack.
“Modi strongly condemned terrorism, and offered thoughts and prayers for the victims and their families,” the statement said.
“The two leaders resolved that India and the United States will continue to fight together against the global scourge of terrorism,” it added. (agencies)
