JAMMU, Sept 7: Jhajjar Kotli Police arrested a trucker and his associate along with 22.400 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Station Jhajjar Kotli led by SHO Inspector Samson Bhatti under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Pardeep Kumar laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB07K-5872.
During checking, police team recovered 22.400 kilograms poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the trucker along with his associate.
The arrested persons were identified as varinder Singh, son of Gurdawar Singh of Punjab and Charanjit Singh, son of Gurmukh of Kapurthala.
A case under FIR Number 213/2022 under section 8/15/29 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
