Truck loaded with 20 bovines seized, driver nabbed

RAJOURI, Aug 18: The police seized a vehicle loaded with 20 bovine animals and arrested its driver in Rajouri area late this evening.
Official sources said that today evening, a team of Police Station Rajouri during routine checking and frisking at Salani bridge intercepted a truck moving towards Poonch.
The vehicle with registration number JK02CM- 1708, driven by Zaqir Hussain, son of Abdul Majid, a resident of Kotli, Miran Sahib, was found loaded with 20 bovine animals. The cattle were tied with ropes in an improper and very cruel manner without food and water and there was no requisite permission with the driver from District Magistrate for transportation. The police seized vehicle and arrested its driver.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 439/2022 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA Act was registered at Police Station Rajouri.
