SAMBA, Oct 15: A truck driver was injured after his vehicle fell into a deep gorge at Jamorah in Mansar area of Samba district this morning.
He has been identified as Mohammed Ashraf Wani, S/o Ali Mohammed Wani of Joddar, Bumthan Qazigund in South Kashmir district of Anantnag.
The truck bearing registration number JK031 5301 was carrying fruit and it was on its way from Kashmir to Punjab after driver lost control over steering and the truck fell into a 250 feet deep gorge at Jamorah.
The driver has been shifted to District Hospital Samba for treatment. The Samba Police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law.
