JAMMU, Feb 19: A truck driver lost his life today in a road accident on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway at Digdool, falling under Ramban Police Station, after his vehicle fell in a deep gorge.
Police sources said that the ill fated truck bearing number PB13AR-6914 was driven by Palvinder Singh son of Ajeet Singh of Sadhu Chak, Gurdaspur (Punjab).
The truck was on its way to Jammu and when it reached Digdol the driver lost control over the vehicle resulting which it landed in a deep gorge.
Police has lodged a case in this regard and started investigation.
The concerned SHO, Sandeep Charak said that body of the deceased was shifted to District Hospital Ramban.
