MUMBAI, July 3: Travel itinerary-planning portal TripHobo today announced a strategic partnership with leading restaurant discovery platform Zomato, allowing its users to access and utilise Zomato’s global database of restaurants.
The collaboration with Zomato will allow TripHobo users to access content as well as deals on restaurants, in addition to itinerary-based recommendations, TripHobo said in a statement.
This association follows TripHobo’s recent partnership with global travel search engine, Skyscanner, where users can compare prices of hotels, flights and car rentals, in addition to planning their trips and itineraries on the platform.
“Apart from travel and accommodation, food is a critical component of a well-defined travel itinerary,” TripHobo’s chief operating officer and co-founder Kartik Ramachandra said.
“Going forward, we will be exploring deeper integration in other areas,” he said.
Currently, TripHobo is home to one lakh user-created itineraries and curated content for close to 500 top tourist cities worldwide, it said.
Zomato provides in-depth information for over 1.4 million restaurants across 22 countries.
In addition to restaurant search and discovery, Zomato has expanded its offering to include in-app cashless payments, online ordering, restaurant reservations, and a point-of-sale (PoS) system. (PTI)
