UDHAMPUR, Dec 26: Rich tributes were paid to Late Yash Paul Khajuria, Former Minister and senior Congress leader on his 4th death anniversary, here today.
The function was attended by a large number of people including prominent leaders of the Congress party, sympathizers and family friends of Late Yash Pal Khajuria.
The function was presided over by Former Minister and Vice President JKPCC Mula Ram and attended by Jugal Kishore Sharma, Group leader of the party in the Upper House, chief spokesman JKPCC Ravinder Sharma, Choudhary Shah Nawaz, General Secretary JKPCC, Hari Singh Chib, Sardari Lal Dubey, Brij Mohan Sharma, Shakeel Shah, etc.
While paying tributes, Mula Ram said Yash Pal Khajuria always remained attached to grass root workers and common people of the State. Khajuria always raised voice of the poor and down-trodden sections of the society, he said, adding that Khajuria played a significant role in the party who devoted his entire life in the service of people.
Mula Ram read the message of PCC President Ghulam Ahmed Mir in which Mir described Khajuria as a messiah of poor and down-trodden people.
Jugal Kishore Sharma while paying tributes to Yash Pal Khajuria remembered his contribution in strengthening the party especially in Udhampur district.
Ravinder Sharma said that Yash Pal Khajuria was known in the party for his simplicity, honesty, integrity, commitment and dedication towards the service of people, especially the down-trodden and poor.
Choudhary Shahnawaz appealed the people to reject the opportunist and divisive forces and strengthen Congress party in the forthcoming ULB elections.
Among others present were Krishan Chander Bhagat, Ex-MLA, Vijay Manhas, Ashok Bakshi, Surinder Khajuria, Ashok Padha, Sumit Magotra, Ashwani Khajuria, Mannav Upadhaya, Tirath Raj Parasher and DP Khajuria.
In the end, Sorav Khajuria presented vote of thanks.
