JAMMU, Jan 23: Rich tributes were paid to Netaji Subash Chander Bose on his 116th birth anniversary across Jammu region.
Minister of State for Fisheries, Cooperatives, Finance and Planning, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma offered floral tribute to Subash Chander Bose on his 116th birth anniversary in a function here at Chhlain of Billawar today.
SDM Billawar, Dr Vikas Gupta, Divisional Forest Officer, Deputy Registrar, Cooperatives, Deputy Director, Fisheries, Assistant Director, Fisheries were among the present on the occasion.
Dr Manohar Lal Sharma garlanded the statue of revolutionary freedom fighter, also famed as Netaji during the freedom struggle.
Dr Sharma, while addressing the gathering, said that Netaji gave vital spark to the freedom struggle and his biography will inspire generations to come.
A cultural programme on patriotic theme was also presented by the schools children who also threw light on the biography of Subash Chander Bose.
Sacred Heart College of Education celebrated 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chander Bose in the college premises. Managing Director Hari Singh Chib and Principal Dr KK Tiwari in their speeches threw light on the life of Subash Chander Bose.
Birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chander Bose was celebrated with great pomp and show in Jai Hind Block of NITL Higher Secondary School. Chairperson of Managing Committee Chander Mukhi and Ajay Gupta, Principal highlighted the achievements of Subash Chander Bose.
On the 116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, students and staff of Lawrence Public School in collaboration with Gandhi Global Family paid floral tributes to the great leader in the school premises. Students from all the four houses spoke on his life history and his contribution towards Indian Independence movement. Shakuntla Joshi, Principal, Lawrence Public School also threw light on the life of Netaji.

Netaji Subash Chander Bose Manch, Rajouri celebrated birth anniversary of Subash Chander Bose at National Public Higher Secondary School. On the occasion, Deputy GOC Brigadier JK Tiwari, DIG BSF Raj Singh Kataria, Kulbhushan Khajuria, Tehsildar, Neeraj Sharma, ARTO, president of the manch Sunil Gupta, Sanjeev Manav, general secretary and Vivek Kumar along with others paid tributes to Subash Chander Bose and also threw light on his life.
116th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chander Bose was celebrated by Neeta Ji Subash Chander Bose Voluntier Association at Maheshpura Chowk. On the occasion, an impressive march at Jantar Mantar appealing the youth, workers, students, political and social organization to join the ultimate revolution to demolish the roots of corruption, communalism and criminalisation in the country.
