SAMBA, Sept 4: Samba Police observed commemoration day on the 17th martyrdom anniversary of martyr Constable Pawan Kumar in his native Village Jasath, Ghagwal who laid down his life at Dagger Police Post Bani.
On the occasion, Ajaz Ahmed Zargar, Additional SP Samba, DySP DAR Samba Chabbil Singh Bahu, Ex MLA Durga Dass, BDC chairman Vijay Tagotra, Sarpanches and Panches and prominent citizens, family members and beloved of the martyr participated in the wreath laying ceremony to paid rich floral tribute to martyr.
Additional SP Samba also spoke on this occasion and paid glowing tributes to martyr, remembered him and threw light on the bravery and supreme sacrifice of martyr.
Later, an interaction session was held with the family members of martyr in order to familiarize them about the schemes, which have been launched by the Government for the welfare of NoKs of martyrs and also to address their grievances pertaining to Police, Civil and other departments.
^They were assured that District Police Samba is always standing with them shoulder to shoulder and eager to help the NoKs of police martyrs at any point of time.
