Tributes paid to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, Rajguru

JAMMU, Mar 24: Various organizations paid tributes to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on their 85th martyrdom anniversary.
To commemorate supreme sacrifices of three legendry figures of freedom struggle Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, a programme was organised by the BJP District Jammu unit under the name of “Rang de Basanti Chola” at Tawi bridge under the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh. It was organized under the leadership of District President Baldev Singh Billawaria. Speaker, JK Assembly Kavinder Gupta, Member of Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ex-Minister Sukhnandan Kumar, Jammu East MLA Rajesh Gupta, MLCs Ashok Khajuria and Charanjit Singh Khalsa were prominent among those who paid tributes to these great patriots. BJP State Vice President Yudhvir Sethi, State Secretaries Vikram Randhawa and Anuradha Charak, senior leader Nand Kishore, District General Secretaries Vinay Gupta and Sunil Dogra,  District Press secretary Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Mandal President Prof Sham Gupta and Mandal General secretary Gurmeet Randhawa also paid their tributes. In a similar programme organized by Jammu West District under District President Ayodhya Gupta, rich tributes were paid by BJP State President Sat Sharma, MP Jugal Kishore Sharma, State Vice President Parmod Kapahi and other leaders .
Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation organized a function at Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk Jammu. Choudhary Lal Singh, MLA and Former Health Minister while speaking on the occasion asked the youth to follow the footsteps of martyrs. Usha Rani and her group Nav Usha presented skits and patriotic songs. Dr Taran Singh, President of SABSF, Kamal K Gupta Advocate, Swarn Singh Secretary Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation, besides many others were present on the occasion.
All India Students Federation (AISF), Doda unit held meeting at old bus stand Doda to pay tributes to martyrs Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. AISF State President Mukesh Parihar While addressing the Public Meeting, State President Comrade Mukesh Parihar remembered the contribution of these martyrs. Dr Iqbal, Ex CMO was special guest on the occasion, who also expressed his views.
To commemorate the 85th Martyrdom anniversary of Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru, Martyrs Day Celebration Committee organized a function at Manhas Mahasabha, Paloura. The function was presided over by Senior Advocate BS Manhas whereas proceedings were conducted by Hari Chand Jalmeria, Advocate convener of the Committee. Sayed Mohd Rafiq Shah, former MLC, Senior Advocate JA Kazmi, Udey Chand, Ranbir Singh Manhas, besides many others were present on the occasion. The speakers urged Government to declare holiday on March 23.
Bhartiya Janata Party, Udhampur District organized a programme to pay tributes to the Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev Rajguru. The programme was held under the chairmanship of Rakesh Gupta, District President BJP Udhampur District. BJP State General Secretary Pawan Khajuria was also present along with senior party leaders and party workers were present on the occasion.
Kranti Dal organized a bike rally to pay tributes to Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru. The rally was flagged off by Pritam Sharma, State President, Kranti Dal, which started from Lower Roop Nagar and after passing through Janipur, Ambphalla, BC Road culminated Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk, Jewel.
National Conference Students Union (NCSU) observed martyrs day of freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev in a function held at Jammu University. Mahesh Bakshi, President NCSU, Saahil Singh Jamwal, Provincial Senior Vice President, NCSU, besides many others addressed the gathering.
Jammu Justice Secular Forum (JJSF) paid tribute to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their martyrs’ day at Law Department, Jammu University. The tributes were paid by Advocate Pushvinder Singh, State President, Vikram Singh, Clinton Sharma and many others.
People of village Nichla, District Samba paid tributes to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev. Pandit Sunny Prashar, Murari Lal Sharma, Mukesh Kumar, Chaman Lal Pappu, Pooja and many others threw light on the life of these martyrs.
JKNPP on its 34th Foundation Anniversary paid rich tributes to the martyrs Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev who were hanged this day 85 years back in Lahore by the British Government. The resolution of JKNPP expressed shock that the Parliament of India has not till this day conferred Bharat Ratan on the heroes of India’s freedom movement. Panthers Party has already conferred Bharat Ratan Award on these heroes of freedom movement.
Rich tributes were paid to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev in a function organized under the supervision of Avinash Choudhary, Social Activist, Press and Publicity Secretary, Shaheed Captain Bahadur Singh Samarak Samiti. Large number of youth and shopkeepers participated in the function.
Nirvair Social Organization, Desh Bhagat Yadgaar Committee and Virasat-e-Khalsa remembered Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru on their death anniversary. Sukhbir Singh, President Nirvair Social Organization and Virasat-e-Khalsa, Sukhdev Singh, Chairman Desh Bhagat Yaadgar Committee, Ravi Singh Bhau, President, JKLADCSA, Ravinder Singh, Kulvinder Singh President Gurudwara Guru Nanak Dev Ji Chand Nagar, besides many others threw light on the life of these martyrs.
