JAMMU, Dec 7: Presiding Officer J&K Special Tribunal Jammu Rajesh Sekri today extended the stay order up to December 14, 2021 thus postponing the demolition of the palatial house belonging to ex-Deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh situated at village Ban/Panjgrain.
The stay was extended as Law Officer of JDA sought further time to file reply and to produce their standing counsel. The whistleblower Advocate Muzaffar Ali Shah also filed application seeking his impleadment as party respondent in the appeal preferred by Mamta Singh, wife of Dr Nirmal Singh against the demolition order issued by JDA.
Advocate Shah, in the open court, stated that the JDA is hand in glove with the former Deputy Chief Minister and for this reason he is required to be arrayed as party respondent. The Tribunal has now fixed the hearing for December 14, 2021.
