UDHAMPUR, Sept 25: Two training programmes for the investigators on “safety of women” and “cyber forensics” began here at Sher-e-Kashmir Police Academy (SKPA) today.
As per a statement, the training programme on safety of women has been sponsored by BPR&D, New Delhi.
It said that a total of 40 officers of the ranks ASI to DySP are attending the course, which was inaugurated by Rajinder Kumar Gupta, SSP, Director (Indoor Trainings), SKPA, Udhampur.
Addressing the course participants, Rajinder Kumar Gupta laid emphasis on increasing knowledge of the investigators on women’s safety and cyber forensics.
According to him, there has been a manifold increase in the registration of crimes related to women and cyber frauds.
He said it is the need of the hour to equip the investigators with all the knowledge to deal with such crimes.
He further said that best faculty has been brought in from renowned institutes and Police Department to help the investigators understand the crimes and ways to deal with them.
