Srinagar, Oct 23: Security forces have arrested a militant associate linked with proscribed The Resistance Front (TRF) in Baramulla and recovered incriminating materials including ammunition from his possession today.
A Police spokesman said that Baramulla Police along with Army and CRPF arrested a militant associate linked with TRF at Kitchama. He has been identified as Farooq Ahmad Malik son of Ghulam Mohammad Malik resident of Kitchama, Baramulla.
Incriminating materials including a Chinese hand grenade, 2 pistol magazines and 16 live pistol rounds were recovered from his possession.
It is pertinent to mention here that the arrested terrorist associate was in close contact with an active terrorist namely Hilal Ahmad Sheikh, resident of Shrakwara Kreeri and was providing the logistic and other material support to him.
A case under relevant sections of law stands registered against him in Police Station Sheeri and investigation has been initiated.
