NEW DELHI : Earthquake engineered turbulence has hit both Nepal and India.
Quake devastated Nepal is still to come to terms with enormity of the tragedy. Victims have gone vocal against the Sushil Koirala government for what they described as slow motion reaction of the government in such a war like situation. People panicked in several states in India after last week end monster quake and its ripple effects in cities of Bihar,Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Rajasthan taking toll of about 80 human lives. Prime Minister Narendra Modi broke the devastation’s news not only to Home Minister Rajnath Singh,incharge of the law and order,but also to the Nepal PM too. Mr Koirala who was in Thailand on an official visit,got to know of the tragedy through Mr Modi on Twitter
Surprising both treasury and opposition benches in the Lok Sabha, Mr Rajnath Singh while making a statement on the tragedy, made a candid admission of the fact that Mr Modi told him of the quake’s enormity and had called him for the meeting.
His statement set tongues wagging in the power corridors,about HM’s intelligence network. Nepal’s government critics stemmed from the fact that in most of the worst hit 30 districts ,local bodies looked paralyzed ,and many of tragedy hit locals alleged that the election to these bodies over due and employees ,too, were in a state of shock and offices remained deserted .
Nepal’s worst hit districts virtually lay in ruins ,shattering economy and wide opening chinks in preparations to deal with such a situation while such predictions were being made for last many years. Confusion is running unabated at the main life line during such incidents-Airport. People flocked in huge numbers and scramble had ensued .Now,glut of relief materials are turning out to be huge mounds ,shrinking strategic space at the Kathmandu airport for planes loads of materials.
International relief teams are at loss to deal with the situation and custom clearance of the relief material also caused delays while victims pined for goods like tents, tarpaulins and dried ration. Reports of beef masala in some food packets delivered in Nepal, mainly dominated by Hindu religion believers sent shock waves ,but Pakistan quickly refuted reports and slammed media for pressing panic buttons. Likewise, Nepalese officials wondered that packets of Tuna fish and and mayonnaise were of no use to their population who want rice ,flours and pulses to cook their staple food in make shifts kitchens in the interior areas.
Since morning till night , controversies crop up.local authorities grappling with shortage of drivers and vehicles to move the ration in interior areas.Drivers have gone to their villages to meet the quake hit families.
Another tremor which has rocked law and enforcing agencies is that unscrupulous elements are making huge profits by selling goods at an exorbitant rates while many are burgling the abandoned buildings to lay hands on whatever they can steal .
Locals at several places have mounted round the clock vigil to thwart such designs,but Maoists inflow to India and trafficking of girls has emerged as another problem in the Crisis ridden districts. Many young children have lost parents in the tragedy and are vulnerable to traffickers tricks in such a crisis situation, authorities fear and have asked

Ahead of the death dance on Saturday, farmers suicides mainly caused due to nature’s fury on their standing crops in various Indian states,mainly located in Northern and Central tracks,have jolted state and union governments alike. Leaders of all parties were up in arms on the spate of suicides issue ,blaming each other for the farming sector’s plight. The land bill and suicides were the epicenters of high magnitude political tremors,but suicide by a Rajasthan farmer Gajendra Singh triggered major turbulence.
All eyes riveted towards the huge tree at the Janatar Mantar where Gajendra had climbed up during the AAP ( Aam Admi Party ) rally which was being addressed by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his deputies and ended his life in full public view. Tragedy visuals ran live on TV channels and a shock wave went across the nation as if a temblor has hit. AAP leader Ashutosh wept during a live chat with the deceased farmer’s sister on Friday.
