Treasury officers briefed on ‘JKPaySys’

Jammu, May 15: As the State Government is going to implement IT enabled enable Electronic Payment Framework- “JKPaySys” application in J&K and in order to implement the application smoothly by apprising all the District/City/Sub-Treasury Officers of Jammu province, a two day workshop was organized at Muthi under the chairmanship of Director Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu Iftikhar Hussain Chauhan in collaobation with NIC J&K.
The main purpose of the workshop was to sensitize all the Treasury Officers of Jammu Province regarding the basic framework of ‘JKPaySys’ and as per this framework, all the DDOs will furnish e-bills to Treasuries along with all the pre-requisites and documents mandated as per the treasury code.
Once the JKPaySys application is implemented, all the Treasury Officers will ensure that no manual bills are entertained in their respective treasuries. They will further ensure that payments are made online in DBT mode directly into the beneficiaties account. The DDOs are not allowed to draw money and park the same into their official account for which mandatorily beneficiary account details will be provided by each and every DDO to their concerned Treasury Officers.
Meanwhile, the Director Accounts & Treasuries, Jammu also reviewed the functioning of the Treasuries of Jammu Province. In the meeting, he laid emphasis on the strict implementation of Biometrics Attendance System and asked the participating Treasury Officers to adhere to the various orders/circulars issued by the Higher Authorities and this office as well from time to time in letter and spirit.
