MENDHAR, Feb 20: The local Transport Union members held protest demonstration at Mendhar town today demanding hike in passenger fare. A large number of Sumos and Mini-buses drivers assembled near the Bus Stand here today and held protest. They were shouting loud slogans against the Regional Transport authorities.
Union president Kafeel Khan was leading the protest. He demanded increase in the fare of passengers. ARTO Poonch spoke to the protesters and assured to resolve their issue shortly. He also held a meeting with transporters and also listened to the public complaints regarding over charging by Sumo drivers.
