JAIPUR, Sept 28: Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot emphasized the Rajasthan government’s commitment to sensitive, transparent, and accountable governance.
He touted the successful implementation of policies through efficient management, resulting in progress across various sectors.
Addressing a gathering at Didwana here, CM Gehlot pointed out the Government’s special focus on youth and students, exemplified by initiatives such as the Rajiv Gandhi Rural and Urban Olympic Games, aimed at fostering sports interests among youth, offering up to Rs 3 crores’ prizes to medal-winning athletes.
“The Government also aims to provide over three lakh job opportunities to the state’s youth,” he said.
Notably, Rajasthan has achieved remarkable strides in education over the past five years, with the establishment of prominent educational institutions like IIT, Triple IT, AIIMS, and Medical Colleges.
Gehlot said that has reduced the need for local youth to seek education outside the state.
Additionally, he said, Mahatma Gandhi English medium schools have facilitated quality education for thousands of students. The state’s Chief Minister Anuprati Coaching Scheme further supports around 30 thousand students with free coaching.
CM Gehlot proudly stated that the state’s welfare schemes and decisions have garnered praise nationally and internationally. Initiatives like OPS, Chief Minister Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, affordable gas cylinders, Annapurna Kits, and social security pensions for about one crore individuals have set benchmarks.
“Other states are now emulating these successful programs,” he said.
Gehlot urged the Central Government to study and consider implementing Rajasthan’s initiatives on a national scale.
The Chief Minister attributed Rajasthan’s remarkable economic growth, ranking second in the country, to excellent financial management and the effective execution of public welfare schemes.
He also highlighted that state governments can secure loans only after meeting Central Government criteria and obtaining permission.
He said that through the inflation relief camps, the State Government has given benefits of ten different schemes to the residents of Rajasthan.
Through these camps, Gehlot said, 1.82 crore families have been benefitted as 7.8 crore guarantee cards have been distributed.
He further said that the domestic consumers have been given 100 units of electricity free of cost and agriculturists have been given 2000 units of power free-of-cost.
