KISHTWAR, Sept 28: In a tragic incident here at Dachhan, about six cows and 6-7 dozen sheep and goats were burnt alive in a fire incident which also caused heavy damage to the shed where these animals were kept.
The fire incident occurred last night at around 3 am at cattle shed belonging to Lala Choupan, son of Maqbool Choupan, resident of Ramnoo, Sounder Dachhan.
On getting information about the fire incident cops from Police Posts Sounder and Kalnoo rushed to the spot and with the help of locals tried to douse the flames.
As there was no Fire and Emergency Service available in the area it took several hours to control the fire.
Luckily there was no loss of human life in the incident.
