JAMMU, Feb 5: High Court has stayed the transfer of Additional Deputy Commiss-ioner Reasi ordered at the behest of Minister of State for Finance Ajay Nanda.
During the course of hearing, Advocate Abhinav Sharma appearing for Babu Ram, Additional Deputy Commis-sioner Reasi submitted, “the order is alleged to be tainted with malafide and on political interference”.
Advocate Rohan Nanda appearing for the Minister of State submitted that the Minister had recommended posting of Nagendra Singh Jamwal as ADC Reasi vice petitioner in the interest of administration, therefore, there was no question of malafide.
After hearing Advocate Abhinav Sharma in length, Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir issued notice to Secretary GAD returnable within two weeks. In the meanwhile, High Court ordered that till next date of hearing operation of impugned order dated January 25, 2018 to the extent it pertains to petition shall not be given effect.
