Training programme on ‘Prasad Bag Making’ by SBI RSETI concludes

Trainees with certificates on conclusion of programme organised by SBI RSETI.

JAMMU, July 29: A 10-day training programme on “Prasad Bag Making” from SBI Rural Self Employment Training Institute (SBI RSETI), Reasi came to the conclusion today.
A group of 19 ladies hailing from Sirla Bagga, Pouni, Seela and other parts of the district participated in the programme. With this the institute completed 4th training programme of the current financial year, which is 25th programme conducted by the institute in different activities since inception.
The certificates were distributed amongst passed out trainees by Dr M D Bali, State Project Coordinator, Monitoring Cell for RSETIs.
In his valedictory address, Dr Bali advised trainees to sincerely act for creating self-employment and earn a living for themselves without wasting their valuable time and energy in search of Government or private jobs for meager wages.
While interacting with passed out trainees, he was happy to note that many of them have already initiated process of taking this activity seriously and plan to form Self Help Groups for marketing their products with Shrine Boards. He exhorted upon them to come forward and take benefit of various subsidy linked Government schemes and try to stand on their own feet.
S K Kandroo, Director SBI RSETI, Reasi assured of his continued support by offering handholding for two years till their settlement. He hoped that success stories of this batch will inspire many more youth to follow and register their contributions towards the society. Tapti Biswas from Sewa Bharti and Kailash Rani were also present on the occasion.
C J Tickoo, Regional Manager SBI Jammu emphasized on the need to channelize youth talent for constructive purposes and empowerment of women by training them in tackling their financial issues themselves.
According to a handout, training programmes on “Food Processing” and “Mobile Repairs” are commencing shortly.
