UDHAMPUR, July 26: Dy. Director Indoor/Trainings SKPA, SSP Mohan Lal today inaugurated five day course on ‘Development of Soft Skill’ and six day training course on IEDs at Police Academy Udhampur. Speaking on the occasion, Mohan Lal said the course on ‘Soft Skill’ is designed to aware police personnel to bring attitudinal and behavioural changes in them to become problem solvers and not problem creators, for which soft communicational skills and attitudinal changes are necessarily required.
He said during the course stress on improving inter personal relationship among the cops as well as reducing stress level among them shall be laid.
“To improve motivational level among cops, well distinguished faculty/guest lecturers from various esteemed institutions have been invited,” the SSP maintained.
Regarding training on IED, he said the course has been designed to train cops in handling the Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs).
He said keeping in view the present security scenario in J&K, the field staff of J&K police needs to be imparted training in handling the IED and disposing it off.
“During the training course, on spot tests of explosive substances, examination of post blast scene, letter and parcel bomb, IED demonstration and various other Do’s and Don’ts shall be focused,” he said.
“Police Academy Udhampur is putting up its earnest efforts under the leadership of Dr. S.D Singh, ADGP/Director Police Academy to ensure that the course participants are really benefited and yield best desired results.
