RAJOURI, Apr 26: A rigorous 5 days Training Workshop wherein training was provided to 120 scholars of College of Engineering and Technology of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU) concluded, here today.
The Workshop was organized in collaboration with reputed company Hbeonlabs Technologies, Delhi at the University Campus from April 22, 2013.
Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal, the Department of Information Technology Engineering and Department of Computer Sciences Engineering of the College managed this 5 day Workshop on “RFID and Microcontroller Based Pervasive Computing”.
Meanwhile, the valedictory function of the Workshop was held today, with Registrar, Mohammad Rashid Chowdhary and Dean Academic Affairs, Prof AK Koul as prominent guests.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dean School of Mathematical Sciences and Engineering Prof Mohammed Asger, Principal Polytechnic Col KK Dogra, Director Centre for Biodiversity Studies BA Wafai, Chair Professor Mahatma Gandhi Chair Prof GH Dar, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor Suneet Gupta and University Engineer BR Chadgal.
As per the details, 120 students and faculty members attended the workshop. During the workshop students were trained on various technologies like RFID, Microcontroller Programming, Embedded C, LCD Interfacing etc. During the workshop, Students made projects like RFID based Animal Tracking, RFID based Attendance System, Automatic Toll Collection System, Car Parking System etc. which were displayed and demonstrated to all the dignitaries.
Nipun Bakshi presented the vote of thanks and extended his gratitude to participants, coordinators, and University administration for contributing in one or other way to make the event successful.
