Traffic suspended on NH at Ramban

JAMMU, Sept 21: The traffic on busy Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH) remained suspended for about two hours after landslide near Ramban this evening.
Official sources said that at around 5 pm this evening, land- slides took place at Cafeteria Morh, near Ramban town on the busy highway. A mini-load carrier suffered minor damage on its bonnet while two people on board had narrow escape.
After this, the process of falling of boulders frequently continued for some time. The National Highway authorities then launched road clearance work. But it was frequently disrupted. The road was then finally cleared at around 7 pm. The one way traffic was restored on the highway. With this, traffic jam was created for long time, sources added.
