SAMBA, Oct 28: Traffic remained paralyzed on Vijaypur-Ramnagar road for hours together today due to mismanagement of Police and Municipal Committee Vijaypur putting normal life out of gear.
Though the road is known for regular traffic congestion, the authorities have failed to take measures to relive the people of this routine problem. The issue was taken up by a group of citizens with police authorities yesterday asking them to take steps in regulating traffic on this busy road by taking action against the people parking their vehicles on roadside or those installing reharis etc.
The police sought cooperation from public especially the shopkeepers who dump their material and park their vehicles on road side. The people of Vijaypur are demanding the intervention of higher authorities for redressal of their problem, besides the upgradation of bye-Pass road alongside the Ravi Tawi canal to ensure hassle free movement of traffic and people on the road.
