Traffic awareness

Sir,
I would like to bring your attention to the awful driving conditions in our princely state. The residents have made a mockery of traffic rules and regulations. Mini buses drive in a rash manner through the narrow and busy city roads with so loud music that it is highly impossible to hear the horn of other vehicles and it is sounds irritating too. Additionally, these mini buses are overloaded to its normal capacity during peak hours. The private vehicle commuters too add to the woes by breaking all sorts of traffic laws made by Govt. to ensure a safer environment for the driver as well as the pedestrians.  Following some steps, I hope will help in improving traffic situation:
Follow lane discipline. Make use of indicator to change lane.
Avoid stopping the vehicle esp. mini-buses abruptly- anywhere, anytime. Always stop at the designated stopping area. Traffic dept. to make sure they install sigh boards for Mini-Bus stops in all routes.
It the duty of every 2-wheeler rider to wear Helmet and avoid speed within city limits. Jammu city traffic cops to ensure the culprits are duly punished if found guilty.
J&K Govt. has spent crores of rupees on the installment of Traffic lights, so it is our duty to follow traffic light system to better manage the traffic. Always stop vehicle before stop line.
Surprise checks by RTO dept. employees in civil uniforms in Mini-buses/long route buses to ensure they follow the speed limit, avoid overloading and play loud music.
Use low beam at night to help in better visibility of road and avoid accidents.  Driving under influence of alcohol should be avoided at all cost. Traffic cops need to act tough against the perpetrators and punish them accordingly. We must realize the importance of not only our lives but the pedestrians as well. Let’s make Jammu an example for other states to learn.
Yours etc…
