UDHAMPUR, July 4: Shopkeepers, transporters, hoteliers, lodges owners and other businessmen of Udhampur have demanded a special financial package and loan interest waiver in view of the losses suffered by the traders because of lockdown.
Talking to media persons, Anil Pachyala, former Secretary Congress Jammu and Kashmir, rued that that the traders suffered huge losses due to unplanned Govt order on lockdown, which put the business community under shock.
“Small shopkeeper, transporter, taxi operators, auto rickshaw mini bus, bakers, tailors, grocery stores, vegetable vendors, tea stall, Dabas, restaurants, meat sellers, fruit vendors, dry cleaners and other allied activities were shut down to sudden decision of the Government,” he said.
The business community demanded waiver of loan interest, remission of electricity bills, income tax waiver, school fee waivers so that the business houses may feel relaxed and can concentrate on business activities for timely payment of salaries to their staff, thus ultimately benefitting the society.
