PULWAMA, Aug 27: Metrology official of Pulwama district have booked a trader during marketing checking in Awantipore area and fined him with Rs 6,000 for selling an adhesive pack without mandatory declarations such as MRP, full address of the Manufacturer/packers, and customer care number.
In a statement, the Metrology Department said a team led by Assistant Controller Pulwama Kewal Krishan and Inspector Mohammed Yasin booked the trader for his “lapse.”
The Assistant Controller tendered a notice to the manager, customer-care executive and distributor of the firm to clear their positions regarding the offence, the statement claimed.
The distributor of the product confessed the guilt and deposited a fine to the tune of Rs.6000 as composition sum and assured the department that the defect will be removed immediately and only genuine packs of the product shall be sold in the market, the statement claimed.
