MENDHAR, June 11: The general public here is resentful against the PHE authorities as many parts of the town are without water.
Sonu Sharma, Rajat Kapoor, Deepak Chandan, Subash Sharma and Gourav Negi of Ward number 1 and 2 said that pumping of motor remained defunct as the concerned lineman remained absent from the duty.
They further said that they approached the concerned JE over the issue who in turn directed the concerned lineman but for the last 10 days the problem has not been rectified.
The locals have threatened protest if water supply is not restored soon in the town.
Meanwhile, Sarpanch of Mendhar town, Sneh Lata Bhasin has sought intervention of the Governor into the issue.
