Sir,
This has reference to the news item ‘Border belts, remote pockets to get mobile connectivity DE May 15.
The installation of 125 more towers in border areas of the State is a step in right direction. In absence of towers in these areas, people faced great hardships in communicating with other parts of the State. In this era of internet and fast communication, people here felt as if they were living in medieval India.
The absence of communication network affects their day to day life. The students community is the worst affected as they cannot remain in touch with latest happenings in education field nor could they get information about job opportunities or other related information. This hampers their advancement in their respective fields.
Besides, employees from other parts who are posted there fail to remain in touch with their families. This adds to their woes and anxities.
The people living in these areas had been approaching the concerned authorities in this counection time and again and now it seems their demands have started yielding results.
Yours etc…
Nazir Ahmed
