Tourism in Jammu

Sir,
Over the years we have seen that tourism in Jammu is essentially based on pilgrimage tourism. Anything outside the pilgrimage tourism like for example, Patnitop is made to wed in to it. Not withstanding the fact that Patnitop is beautiful to attract tourists on its own.
But do we just have Patnitop Mansar or Surinsar or we have more than that.
A chance look at the same Calendar provides you the answer. We have the most beautiful Baderwah Valley, yet unexplored. On way to Bhaderwah, one is greeted by so many babbling brooks and flushing meadows. Same can be said about Kishtwar and its sacred mountain.
There are so many beautiful places in Udhampur District that even a brief mention of them will capture a space too large for description here. Anybody who has visited Panchari Valley is forced to draw comparison with the much famous Gulmarg Valley in Kashmir. The Chougan of Ramgarh draws its parallel with the Chougan of Chamba Valley in HP. The Mantalai, the Sudmahadev or the Gunkanda hills are all worth a visit. If you look beyond, the heritage structures lot Jammu division so casually that without intending to miss, we invariably do.
The forts of Jammu division inspite of not being in their best of shape, stand proud and monumental.
The Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir needs to pick up a multipronged strategy in this direction. It is the duty of the Govt to build infrastructure around these places and behive me the enternship of our people will take care of the rest.
Yours etc….
